About the Acupuncturist

Alison Reid-Bretell is a licensed acupuncturist and has been practicing Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine since 1996. In 1995 she founded Happy Toad Chinese Herbs in Encinitas, California. One year later she and two other partners opened North Shore Acupuncture Clinic formerly located next to Scripp's Hospital in Encinitas. Currently sole proprietor of North Shore, she moved the clinic to its present location on Encinitas Boulevard in 2004.

She graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine Magna cum Laude with a Masters of Traditional Oriental Medicine. She is a diplomat of the National Board of Acupuncture Orthopedics. She has also been a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) for the state of California since 2003.
